A Little about S & D Antiques & Collectables.  We are a husband and wife team whom have been collecting for years.  We both were brought up in households that had a rich love for both history and learning, and naturally collecting.  We bought our first pieces as husband and wife in the late 60's and haven't stopped since.  Which I know is why we have been active dealers for over ten years now.  WE RAN OUT OF ROOM!  Not quite horder status by today's standards, but full house, garage and basement none the less. 

Now instead of holding onto everything, we enjoy the challenge of finding items which we can purchase at a fair price and then re-sell  at a fair price.  We, or should I say, I began the business with the intention of this being a hobby, and for me to having something to occupy me when I retired.  It has done that and more.  It has become my personal continuing education program.  The Antique market has become so fluid and varried, what with the impact of E-Bay, and great service provided by PBS and the Antiques Road Show.  Item move in and out of vogue for a variety of reason: From what was featured on Road Show, or American Pickers, The Pawn Shows, or what Martha decides to feature in her issue. 

From a couple whom started with Americana, and Primatives, we know carry an inventory that is so varried that we have to sort it by categories to keep track ot it.  Fron Advertizing to Vanity Items; from Barware & Brewery to Pottery and Porcelain; from Decoratives to Musical Instruments; from Ethnic to Jewelry, from Collectables to Furniture, and of course Glass, as we are both members of the Depression Glass Club of Rochester, NY.

We opperate under a simple philosphy:  To sell the highest quality items that we can acquire at as fair as possible of price.  Our intent is not to get rich, but to have an enjoyable time doing what we love and making a little money on the side.

In addition to our site here, we are located at two antique Co-Op's, and do a limited schedule of shows each year.
